Typology finale - Trapped behind glass

For my Typology Assignment I wanted to go into more depth with my thematic assignment as I now have a better understanding of my concept. I hope to continue this typology with different spaces around me such as family members places I used to go to often when I was little, or my future homes and apartments I will live in. I also plan to revisit and recapture this piece in my late 30s as I would love to see how much these frames will change by then.

I would say my work is most related to Lee Friedlander As he is most known for “social landscape” where he chooses to frame his subjects in other frames such as TVs, mirrors, nature, store windows, car windows, fences, buildings. “I’m not a premeditative photographer,” he has said. “You don’t have to go looking for pictures. The material is generous. You go out and the pictures are staring at you.” Which is what I felt exactly when staring out at my windows, door ways, even branches that are jus close enough to keep the moon for itself, there's already a picture perfectly composed for me I just have to look around.
